Traveling with a One-Year-Old on the LPGA Tour

danah-and-taylor-lpga-instagramLoving Moments by Leading Lady Spokesmom Danah Bordner recently started her 2014 LPGA season by competing in the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA event in January. Held at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, Danah recounts what traveling with a one-year-old is like and how her support system allows for her daughter to cheer her on at each golf event:

Off to travel the world again with the LPGA Tour, and this year my little traveling companion is a one-year-old!  Boarding the flight, checking in at the hotel, and unpacking our luggage to make sure I have all of her necessities make the travel process more tedious. The actual flying time is the easiest part. Thanks to my wonderful mom (who couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go to the Bahamas), a fellow LPGA competitor, and amazing volunteers that help at each tournament. They make my job a little bit easier!

At each event, all of the LPGA competitors have child care provided by Smuckers®. Without the two fantastic ladies that come to each event, Taylor wouldn’t be able to travel with me. I can’t imagine not having her by my side every week. Yes, travel with a toddler has its share of challenges, but she is undoubtedly worth it.
