Thanksgiving Activities for Kids: My Grandma T’s Pie Crust Recipe

There are so many things for which we can be thankful:  family, friends, health and freedom are at the top of my list.  What are you thankful for this year?  Whether you are celebrating with family, friends or both, Thanksgiving is a time to come together to be thankful for all of the wonderful things in our lives.

I love to spend the holiday with my family, and this year for us that means planning Thanksgiving activities for kids.  You can spend time together doing a variety of things, from taking a fall hike, to doing a craft together, to volunteering in your community, or cooking.  I like baking, and creating all sorts of treats can make for fun Thanksgiving activities for kids. Just make sure you pick the right recipes, and plan ahead.

One of my all-time favorite recipes is my Grandma T’s easy pie crust.  It always gets me in the Thanksgiving spirit, and I bet it will do the same for you.  Get your kids involved by having them help you measure (for older kids) and pour (for younger kids) the ingredients.  In the end, this is one delicious treat for kids of all ages!

Of course, when you’re done making the crust, picking out the pie filling can be an equally delicious activity for the kids to enjoy!
